New Work

The highlight of 2008 was a commission in Guinea, West Africa, (by fROOTS and Sterns) to photograph Les Amazones de Guinée, a vibrant, all female military band.

While in the Capital Conakry, I located musicians from the original National Orchestras set up 50 years ago, many now in their 80’s. I was fortunate to meet and photograph the much respected Kelitigui (Kelitigui et ses Tambourinis) who died in December 2008.
