Flare Films is run by photographer and filmmaker Judith Burrows and employs the creative skills of a group of talented freelancers specialising in film, design, painting and illustration.

I began making films in 1992 after graduating from Harrow College of Art and Design with a first class degree in Photography Film and Video, and a short film - 'GEORGIA.'

Georgia

Georgia was highly acclaimed and invited to the London Film Festival and subsequently screened at festivals around the world. It also found distribution and was transmitted in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Turkey.

This was followed in 1996 by SAVING GRACE

Saving Grace

Also highly acclaimed and nominated for a BIFA award, Saving Grace was screened at festivals including Edinburgh and Wales and transmitted in Ireland.

I have written 2 feature film scripts - in development - '10 layers of Dead Skin' and 'Running on Empty' co-written with Justin Chubb.

Meanwhile I work as a stills photographer, mainly for designers, musicians and artists.

Alex Boyesen

Images have been published as posters and in magazines such as Music Week, Time Out, Televisual, and Marie Claire, on clients websites and in design books.

Caroline Dent

Following the success of the two short films I directed documentaries for channel 5 and Channel 4 and a number for Capital Radio including 'Behind the scenes at Party in The Park' and in 2003 a 50 minute documentary - 'The Spirit of Capital' which was screened in the Odeon Westend to high acclaim including that of Lord Attenborough a founder member of Capital Radio.

The client base, as eclectic as the images, includes artists, designers, musicians and dancers, corporate clients including Islington Council and Capital Radio, and television production companies.
